POLLAKS is a gallery for contemporary art, showcasing artists who engage with the cultural and visual realities of our time. Founded in Berlin by Leila and Nikolai Pollak, the gallery operates at the intersection of art, architecture, and urban life.

Through exhibitions and site-specific projects, POLLAKS supports both emerging and established artists working in painting, photography, sculpture, and interdisciplinary media.

The gallery sees art as a living presence—extending beyond traditional exhibition spaces and into the rhythm of the city. Through collaborations with cultural venues, hospitality spaces, and creative communities, it creates new ways for people to engage with contemporary art.

Rooted in Berlin’s international cultural landscape, POLLAKS creates lasting connections between artists, collectors, and audiences.

The gallery has been located at Dufte on Kantstrasse since May 2026 and operates its own space with us, featuring monthly rotating exhibitions.

Pascal Wild 1 Fear Not 2 June 2026

Pascal Wild’s figures move through emotional overwhelm—open, playful, and vulnerable. They smile, pose, and carry swords, yet beneath the cartoon-like gestures lies a constant instability between courage and collapse, humor and fear.

The title Fear Not feels less like reassurance and more like a fragile inner monologue—the kind of phrase one tells oneself when control begins to slip. Its protagonists seem aware of the absurdity—and continue nonetheless.

A central tension emerges between clarity and painterly decay. Faces, eyes, and gestures remain sharply defined; other areas dissolve into raw traces and fragmented surfaces. The works resist both narrative coherence and ironic distance, leaving emotional situations unresolved.

They are not fantasy worlds, but psychological spaces in which contradictions coexist: innocence and excess, tenderness and threat, false heroism and quiet despair.

In Fear Not, humor is never used to ridicule vulnerability. It becomes a survival strategy.
